USA CIBT Offices Closed On November 27 And 28, 2014, Limited Deliveries
CIBT offices in the United States with be closed on November 27 and 28, 2014 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Please be aware UPS and FedEx will offer only limited deliveries on those days. Special delivery arrangements for Friday, November 28th and Saturday, November 29th can be made with advance notification. Call CIBT USA Customer Service to schedule delivery on one of these days. Our Canadian offices are open and operating normally on November 27 and 28, 2014.

Thanksgiving Weekend Is A Great Time To Renew Your Passport
The long weekend is a great time to apply for or renew your passport. The United States Passport Office will soon enter its busy winter travel season when passport processing can become delayed. China Consulates Offer Extended-Validity Tourist, Business and Student Visas To USA Nationals
Beginning November 12, 2014 the United States and China began a reciprocal visa validity agreement. This arrangement extends the validity of multi-entry tourist and business visas to 10 years. Visas for students studying in China for over 180 days are extended to five years. These visas are already being granted in all USA China consulates. The visa requirements are the same as before this agreement. Consular fees and processing times are also unchanged.

To be eligible for a 10-year tourist or business visa the applicant must have at least one full year remaining on his or her passport. Applicants with less than one year of passport validity will receive a six month visa. In the future travelers with a 10-year visa in an expired US passport may enter with China with their new passport and may present the expired passport with the valid visa.

Effective November 1, 2014 USA nationals as well as nationals of Australia, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden and the United Kingdom new require a visa to enter Rwanda. CIBT in the United States and Canada can process visas in advance for entry into Rwanda. For complete instructions and the requirements for these visas can be found on our website.


Ebola Related Travel Restrictions And Travel Advisories For West Africa
Some nations are restricting entry of or denying visa issuance to nationals of countries affected by Ebola. Individuals who have visited recently or transited through the countries affected by Ebola are also being denied entry to some countries. We are monitoring this dynamic situation and updating our visa instructions as we learn of changes to the normal entry and visa process. The United States Centers for Disease Control has issued an advisory against all non-essential travel to the Republic of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone due to the worsening of the Ebola virus outbreak in the region. For the most up to date travel advisories consulate the CDC.
