Without Taking A Coronavirus Test

10 International Destinations Vaccinated Travelers Can Visit, No COVID-19 Test Required

Coronavirus restrictions around the world are relaxing, which means the international travel you put off for the last few years is (finally!) back on, depending on your vaccination status. So make sure you have your visa and passport ready to go. Here are ten of the top international travel destinations, and their current requirements for entry.

Visit the United Kingdom

Effective March 18, 2022 all travelers irrespective their vaccination status may enter the United Kingdom

Travel to Ireland

According to government rules, visitors who can show proof of vaccination or recovery from coronavirus in the past six months are not required to take a test before departure. If visitors can’t provide either of these, they’re required to show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before they arrive in the Emerald Isle. Children aged 11 and under are exempt from these testing requirements.

Travelers are also required to fill out a Passenger Locator Form before departure.

Enjoy a Baguette in France

Fully vaccinated foreign travelers are not required to take a coronavirus test before entering France, but are required to provide a sworn statement saying that they don’t have Covid symptoms and have not come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for the virus. Everyone 18 and above must show proof of having received a booster or mRNA vaccine to be considered fully vaccinated, if more than nine months have passed since their second vaccine dose.

All unvaccinated visitors from the U.S. have to provide a “compelling” reason for travel, per the French government. U.S. unvaccinated travelers must also produce a negative result of a Covid test. For a PCR test it must be within 72 hours of departure and for a rapid antigen it must be within 48 hours. U.S. visitors may also be subject to random testing after arrival.

Stop Over in Sweden

Sweden has ended all coronavirus restrictions for vaccinated visitors from approved countries, which includes the U.S. and most of Europe. Visitors from the United States with proof of vaccination are not required to provide a negative test result before arrival. Travelers under the age of 18 are exempt from the requirement.

Those from the United States who are not fully vaccinated will not be allowed entry to Sweden because of its ongoing travel ban, in effect until March 31st.

See the Northern Lights in Norway

All coronavirus entry requirements have been lifted for all visitors.

Travel with Ease to Finland

Fully vaccinated visitors from the United States need only show proof of vaccination to enter Finland. Those who are only partially vaccinated, but who can show proof of coronavirus recovery, will be treated as fully vaccinated.

Travelers from European countries must show an EU Digital Covid Certificate proving they have recovered from coronavirus in the past six months. These restrictions apply only to people born in 2006 or earlier

Devour a Pastry in Denmark

Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to take a coronavirus test. Those who have previously contracted coronavirus, and can show proof of a positive test taken at least 11 days and no more than six months before arrival, are exempt from testing requirements.

Those who are unvaccinated or have not been previously infected and are traveling from countries such as the U.S., which Denmark has designated as high risk, are required to take a coronavirus test within 24 hours of arrival and must self-isolate for ten days. Visitors may leave isolation if they receive a negative PCR test result no sooner than the sixth day of their isolation period.

Get a Glimpse of Greece

Fully vaccinated travelers from the United States are not required to take a coronavirus test to enter Greece. Travelers who completed their first vaccination cycle more than nine months prior will be required to show proof of receiving a booster, though. Otherwise, U.S. travelers can show a negative coronavirus test or proof of recovery, issued 14 days after their first positive test, which is valid for 180 days.

Greece will accept a PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival, or a rapid test taken no more than 24 hours before arrival. All travelers regardless of vaccination status are required to fill out a Passenger Locator Form before they will be allowed entry to Greece.

Enjoy Sunny Aruba

Visitors aged 12 and older can bypass testing requirements by getting a digitally verifiable QR-code proof of vaccination and booster shot. Kids between the ages of 12 and 17 are not required to show proof of a booster shot.

Travelers who choose not to take this route must take a test before they arrive. Children aged 12 and under are exempt from these requirements.

Those who have tested positive 10 days to 12 weeks prior to their arrival in the Caribbean island, and who do not show symptoms, can get testing exemption with proof of a positive test. However, several testing forms are not accepted, including antigen and antibody tests. So, you’ll need to make sure you have an accepted positive test form.

Pass the Time in Puerto Rico

Visitors to the U.S. territory who have been fully vaccinated, and can show proof of full vaccination, are not required to take a coronavirus test before arriving. Those who are unvaccinated are required to show proof of a negative test taken no more than two days prior to arrival, and must quarantine until the results return.

Unvaccinated travelers who do not take a test will be forced to self-isolate for seven days, and could be subject to applicable sanctions. Children aged five and over are also required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test result to avoid the required quarantine, while children aged two to four need only to show proof of a negative test. All children under two are exempt from test and vaccine requirements.

All travelers are required to fill out a Travel Declaration Form to visit Puerto Rico.
